So originally I wanted to, to make a difference, and all that fun stuff. Then, I realized I probably wouldn't win because I'd never ran before and didn't really know too much about it.

I put my name in, but I didn't attend the meeting because I was at a concert. I figured I'd be out of the running and that was fine.

Today, teacher in charge walks in, tells me I'm still running, but she won't let me give a campaign speech. By now, all the other nominees have posters, Tshirts, stickers, pens, etc that they're giving out.

I did literally nothing for this campaign, I didn't find anything, I didn't say anything special, I gave beyond the lowest effort. And now, dozens of people are telling me they voted for me. I don't know if it's a giant practical joke on the other guy running, I don't know if I'm really that loved by others, or if it's because they don't like the other guy.

Frankly, I don't care.

Now don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to be president. I'm already president of two clubs, so student class would be the icing on the cake. Plus, I can give an amazing graduation speech.

But, if I win, I might feel bad for the other guy. He worked really hard. Granted, sometimes he's a real jerk to everyone, but still.

If I win, should I be more selfish and take it anyway, or should I decline and have the other candidate win?

I want the right thing to do, but I also want the best thing for myself and for the class. (He wasn't been a very good leader last year)

What do you think I should do?
