Should I still take AP Calculus BC if I won't be an engineer?

I'm currently in Calculus AB and signed up for BC next semester. I'm doing fine but I feel that BC is only for engineering and that I would be better off taking something else (psychology/economics/something else). I feel that if I drop BC and don't replace it with anything, that will hurt my admissions chances. I am still considering majoring in something in the sciences, just not engineering... Is BC still worth it?

Yes. It shows colleges that you like to challenge yourself.

If you’re going to major within a science department, you’ll more than likely need just as much math as an engineer, at least at the multivariable calculus level. Calculus BC will give you a big push. Unless you major in biology, but don’t major in a life science. Physics might be worth your while.
