Should I stop looking for scholarships?

This summer is a huge one (:
lol. I'm going to be starting college in the Fall (eek!) and I am currently working at a restaurant to save up some cash before school starts.
My college is not rewarding me that much, about ($12,000) which will leave me about ($10,000) for my parents to pay. I do not think it will be a problem, however, I do hope to reduce the amount of money my parents would have to pay.
My question is: Should I continue looking for scholarships? There are not that many scholarships with an open deadline considering that it's almost the end of the summer. Also, a lot of the scholarships I have found are for kids who are graduating next year in 2014.

If yes, where are some good places that I can look and apply?
Please don't say Fastweb. lol.
Thank you!

I goggled scholarships with July deadlines and applied to over 15… still need money

There are not many outside scholarships still available for new college students, they have already been awarded, and there are far fewer scholarships once you are in college.

I think your best bet is to check the college website, particularly if you know what department you will be in, they often have merit aid for continuing students. Of course that means no money fr year, but hopefully you can find something for future years.
