Question: I have not taken any SAT II's. Initially I was planning on applying to UVA. Should I take a few SAT II's in January and apply to UVA? Or should I call it quits and focus on finding some more match/safety schools. UVA sounds like a good fit to me (although my dream is to be a Tar Heel). Looking for a little advice, I'm a bit confused and quite honestly worn out by the whole standardized testing process.

UVA sounds good dude. apply there

ar you planning on walking on in football or sometthing like that? anyways i'd go with a couple more safeties n matches because that chance of you not getting into the 4 schools listed is very very low

no, i don't plan on playing football in college.

also i was confused by your last statement about safeties and matches, are you implying that i have a good shot at getting into at least one of those four schools? Or are you saying i really need some backups.

thanks

Your chances are very good of getting into those 4, but you might want to add your state school to be sure.

yeah thats what i meant u'll prolly get into one of those

You'll definitely get into Penn State but you need one sure safety. But you could also just wait until you hear from UNC on Dec. 15 (?) to see if you get in there before you waste time and money applying elsewhere.

No, UNC's EA is announced January 31st :/

I don't know why the date is so late, application had to be postmarked Nov. 1.

anyone else?

I'd say you have a good chance just about anywhere. Maybe add 1 more safety, and if you want some more reaches...Duke, U Penn, Vanderbilt are all pretty big impressive schools too...duke and penn may require SAT 2s tho...
