Should I study for the ACT if I've prepared for the SAT?

I'll soon be taking my SAT, and I feel very confident for it. The first time, I did minimal preparation and scored a 2070 (740 Math, 730 Writing, 600 Critical Reading). I expect to score at least 100 points higher.
So my question is this: should I prepare for the ACT? Can I simply use SAT preparation for it? Or should I specifically get an ACT prep book?

Note: This is EXCLUDING THE SCIENCE SECTION!!! I'm definitely going to prepare for that. This thread mainly pertains to the preparation for ACT reading and math.

Yep… You need to prepare… Two TOTALLY different tests…

Math and Reading ACT prep is like the normal coursework in 8th grade. Do you know your math? Can you read quickly and effectively?

Math Questions: Whats Tan B? nothing to trick you.

Reading: blah blah it is 90 degrees outside.

Reading Question: Why was the person hot?

Make sure you learn the timing of the ACT!!!

I decided to completely wing it with absolutely no prep. I brought my own watch and everything was going perfectly until 5 minutes called when there was still 15 minutes on my stopwatch.

I ended with a 36 on the first 2 sections, but it wasn’t pretty from there.

So yeah, learn the timing of the test and time yourself if you are doing any preparation.
