I am applying early
Also does a 29 ACT kill my chances?
Instructions on the Common App says to list your weighted, not that it really matters, since Cornell will go by your transcript.
well you can choose between weighted or unweighted
A 29 makes Cornell a high reach if not out of reach.
an 29 is not out of reach. i’ve seen a few people students WITH HOOKS get in with 28/29 scores.
@Gatortristan I’m applying to CALS and I think my essays are pretty amazing. I live in the country in Nebraska and my essays talk about my rural experiences. My gpa is better than my ACT score.
I would say although a 29 will hurt you, it’s not putting you out of chances. CC a lot of times can hurt your self esteem lol. No matter what the decision is you should be proud of your application and personally, if all of your application besides the score is great then i still think you have a shot : )
Thank you! I can’t wait to see what happens!I did retake in October after 100+ hours of prep. I was getting 33-34 on the practice tests, but idk how it went
@gatortristan
If you are looking for a boost to your self esteem, you should ask your parents and best friends to chance you. If you are looking for an honest, informed chancing, then come to CC.
I’ve seen plenty of people get in with 31-32, but 29 certainly is a stretch. Should have applied RD and retaken it so you don’t get rejected early. (though you might get deferred-or possibly accepted)
