Should I submit a 760 math2 for engineering?

I took the ACT and scored very well, but I decided to also take the SAT subject tests just in case I apply to CMU and/or Cornell. On chemistry I scored a 790, but on math2 I only scored a 760 (pretty bad considering the curve).

I'm not retaking math2 because none of my favorite schools require SATIIs with the ACT, so I don't really want to waste the time/money. Primarily I'm thinking about Duke, Rice, and WashU engineering. Duke seems to strongly SUGGEST submitting SATIIs even with the ACT.

Should I send in my scores, or could my math2 score hurt me? Since they aren't required I don't want to hurt my application at all (since math is so important for engineering). I got a 35 in math on my ACT and 5 on my BC calculus test so it's not like I have a weakness in math.

Even if the 760 doesn't hurt me, is it worth spending the money to send in my scores? Or are they not high enough (or important enough) to make it worthwhile?

All opinions appreciated, thanks!

Send your score. Even given the generous curve, anything above a 750 is very good for the colleges your looking at. Also, definitely don’t retake it. I got a 780 and wanted to retake it but I was discouraged too because the few points really don’t make a difference and there are better things to do with your time and money.

Yes. Send it.

Dude, thats a good score. Anything 750+ is good even for ivy league

Thank you everyone, I think I will send.

The only reason I was nervous was because I attended an info session at Vanderbilt (which I hated) and the rep said don’t submit anything not in the 90th percentile if you don’t have to…and a 760 isn’t even close to 90th percentile haha.

Yes… that’s a fine score. 700+ is fine
