I am applying to several colleges that allow applicants to submit a resume. I've already listed my activities in the Common App activity section and my prizes in the Honors section and feel that I don't really have anything substantial that I could include in my resume other than what I've already mentioned. Would not submitting a resume hurt my chances in some way or would, on the contrary, submitting a resume that doesn't really add anything to my application be detrimental?

I think it is best if you are able to avoid sending resumes. So in your case it is clear that you don’t need it. So that is just as well that you don’t have excess padding for them to to wade through. So feel secure that you can submit as is and that is the best for you.
