Should I submit a score of "3" on the AP US history exam?

I am currently a rising senior.

If the school doesn't accept a 3 for course credit, should I even bother sending it in?

I took 3 APs junior year, and will have 5 next year:
AP Calculus AB (B in the class, 4 on the AP)
AP US History (B in the class, 3 on the AP)
AP Physics B (B in the class, AP score not worth submitting)

I'm definitely sending in my AP calculus score and DEFINITELY not sending in my AP physics, but what about the AP US History?

If the school only takes 4s and 5s for course credit, should I still send in a 3? Would it hurt my chances of getting in?

I’m not positive what you mean by “sending it in.” You don’t officially report your AP scores to a school until you’ve enrolled. You just self report it on the Common App when you apply. And I don’t see why you wouldn’t report a 3, though. A 3 means you’re “qualified.” If anything, not reporting the score and having the AP class show up on your transcript might make an admissions officer wonder if you scored lower than a 3, or simply didn’t take the test.

If you don’t send it in, the school might think the worst case scenario happened and you got a 1.
