Should I submit my GRE scores to a graduate program at TC that does not require them?

Hey CC community! I hope you guys are having an outstanding weekend.

I’m writing this post to hear your thoughts on GRE scores in relation to applying to a graduate program at Teachers College that doesn’t require them.

Last evening, I got my official GRE scores. However, in all honesty, I am not satisfied with my results. They came out to be relatively mediocre. Unfortunately, I can’t sign up for another test day to retake the exam since the earliest available test time I could register for is a day before the deadline.

I know the answer to my question is straightforward. Nevertheless, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this matter: should I risk my application and submit my unsatisfactory GRE scores? Or, should I completely omit my scores since they aren’t required after all?

What am I missing? you have disappointing scores for a program that doesn’t require them. Why would you send them in?

When its optional or not required don’t! They have to report it if you send it. So, if they don’t like the score they might reject you

I would think about this the same way I think about test optional undergraduate colleges. If the standardized test results are below the average for students accepted to your program then don’t submit, if they are above the average for students accepted to the program then submit (even if they were personally disappointing to you). If you don’t submit the GRE hopefully you have a strong undergrad transcript.
