I just got back my results for the ACT and my results were:

33 English
35 Math
34 Reading
34 Science

34.0 Composite (Corresponds to a 2250)

I was very happy with this score, but I don't know whether or not I should submit it along with my SAT because my single-sitting SAT score is significantly higher (2330; 800 CR, 770M, 760W with a 10 essay).

Should I even bother submitting my ACT? Would it reinforce that I'm a versatile test taker or just make it look like I am very test-oriented? Also, is the better ACT math score enough to justify sending it along with my SAT?

Thanks for any input.

P.S. I'm aiming for a few top 20 schools (if that makes any difference)

I would send both. Unless you took science SAT subject tests, I would send in the ACT because it shows you are capable of doing not only english and math, but science as well. You scored so well on the science section, and on the rest of the test in general, so I would send it (even if it corresponds to a slightly lower SAT score). Great job! Wish I had your problem.

You can send both along. Anything above 2250 and anything 33 and above is already in the 99th percentile, so it doesn’t really make a difference what you send. Also, a lot of kids take both, so it won’t hurt you to send both, but it won’t give you a significant advantage.

Many of your schools will likely accept that ACT in place of SAT Subject tests - most do. So if that is an issue, submit the ACT as 97college says and save the time-effort-money on the SAT Subjects.
