Should I submit my SAT or ACT score?

I’m applying to 8 colleges as a biology major. My first application is due in about 40 days on October 15th. For tests, I took the SAT twice and ACT once and I’m not sure which one to submit. I liked the SAT more, but my scores on each test were about the same. My first SAT I got a 1390- 720 in reading and 670 in math. The second time was terrible and I got a 1310, so if I do use my SAT score I’ll use the 1390. On the ACT I got a 31- 34 in English, 34 in reading, 30 in science, and 25 in math. I’m not proud of either of my math scores and I know the composite scores are roughly equivalent, but as for individual score breakdowns I’m not sure which test will look better for colleges. I’m not planning on taking either test again and just seeing how everything pans out. Any advice on which score to submit?

Look at the common data set for each school you are considering and see where your scores fall in relation to accepted applicants. Submit whichever score is more competitive at each school.

I’d be a bit concerned about the 25 sub score in math, especially as a bio major. Since 31/1390 are fairly comparable, I would send in the SAT score because the 670 in math is stronger than the 25.

You could just send both. In that situation, the college will use that test it believes is the better one for you.

They are almost identical per the official concordance and the SAT score shows a better profile for a science major, IMO.
