Hello,
The Cornell website says that for transfer students, they do not have to submit their SAT/ACT scores with their applications if they have not previously taken them. Although I have taken the SAT test during my high school junior year, I would prefer not to send them to Cornell, as they would probably hurt my chances of admission. The Cornell transfer admissions page also stated that if transfer applicants did previously take a standardized test, then they should submit it. Could I tell them I never took a standardized test, so I don't have to submit my SAT score? Would Cornell check If I actually took the SAT's or not? Would not providing any standardized test scores put me at a disadvantage for admission as a transfer student? Thanks.

this depends on which college/major you’re applying to. some DO require you to submit SAT scores

OK, I will probably be applying to the school of management (or business administration, whatever its called). I’ll check the Cornell Business school’s website to see the admission requirements. Thanks. Also, I have heard that Cornell is a “transfer-friendly” school. Some people say because it is such a big school that they can accept more transfer applicants. I’m not sure if this is true, but if it is, then how much easier is it for a transfer student to be admitted to Cornell? I in no way had a high GPA in high school, and my SAT scores were rather low, but will Cornell put more weight on my college stats? Thanks.

if you apply for junior year, then your HS stats will matter less. it only seems transfer-friendly because of the high number of guaranteed transfers there were from freshmen admissions and the internal transfers. it’s still worth a shot
