Should I submit either one of these? I don't know whether I should, or if I should do test optional.
ACT Composite: 29
E: 33
M: 30
R: 30
Combined English/Writing: 33
S: 23 (awful, I know, but I'm not intending to study much science)

It depends on your other statistics. Your scores are all over the map (too bad about that pesky science score!). How are your GPA, class rank, extra curriculars, etc?

An ACT of 29 is still above the 50% for Dickinson . I would definitely submit. I’m not sure how closely the admissions committee scrutinizes the individual ACT scores. You are not a science major hence your scores aren’t bad at all. My S scores are a composite of 30 . He has the mirror image of your scores ! He has a 22 in English and a 36 in science. He is going to major in a physical science. He has submitted his scores with the hope that the composite ( his was 30) and the fact that he is not going to major in English or any humanity will be strongly ( holistically)considered by the admissions committee. Best of luck. Are you applying early action?the

Thanks everyone for your input! I ended up sending my ACT scores.
Oura54, yes I applied early action, now the wait begins! Good luck to your son as well!

Thank you OliveOlives! All the best! Hopefully they’ll be freshmen together! The wait is agonizing. Any knowledge as to the policy of Dickinson asking for first QUARTER not semester ( since these will not be available by Feb 1st) grades?

Oura54, I am not sure about first quarter grades. I am assuming since the Early Action deadline was so late in the year, they will most likely be seeing those grades. Hope that puts you son in a favorable light :)
