I am a high school senior getting ready to apply to colleges, and I'm having a difficult time deciding if I should send my just my ACT scores or both my SAT and ACT scores. I'm applying to some colleges that are very selective (less than 1/3 of applicants accepted), so I want to make my application look as good as it can possibly be.

I am a very good student in school, and have an overall GPA of a 3.9. I am involved in 10+ extracurricular activities and have participated in over 200 hours of community service in my four years of high school. I attended the Governor's School for Excellence in Delaware in the summer before my junior year, and received the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Award for Excellence in Math and Science in the spring of 2011. I also was a delegate at the Delaware Girl's State leadership camp this past summer. I am currently in the running to be the valedictorian of my graduating class.

However, despite all of this, my standardized test scores (especially my SAT scores) are not great....

SAT: Critical Reading- 510, Math- 500, Writing- 610
ACT: Composite- 24, English- 33, Math- 19 (horrible, I know), Science- 22, Reading- 23
Essay- 9 (out of 12)

I've taken the SAT twice and the ACT once, and my parents say they don't want me to take either test again, and there's no way for me to pay without using one of their credit cards.

I've looked at the SAT- ACT comparison chart, and my ACT score is somewhat higher than my SAT, and some of the "chance me" applications I've used show that I have a greater chance of being accepted if I post only my ACT score. Most of the colleges I'm applying to have more than 30% of first time applicants submit ACT scores as well. So my question is...

Should I submit just my ACT score to colleges, or should I take a chance and submit both?

All answers are appreciated. I'm so sorry this question was so long!
