Should I Submit SAT Score to USC?

So I just finished my application to USC but I'm unsure of whether or not I should submit my SAT score. My SAT Reasoning composite is a 2140 (760 writing, 730 reading, 650 math) which is good, but I took three subject tests that I did pretty cruddy on (can't remember exact scores but I believe it was 680 USH, 630 Math II, and 590 Bio (yikes!)). Should I send them anyway, or should I hold back because of the awful SAT subject test scores. I did send my ACT, however, (only 32 composite though.)

Your ACT is fine…pretty similar to the 2130… You don’t specify your major so it’s hard to correlate your SAT II scores…but google around at USC’s common data set and admitted student profiles and you’ll see that your 32 is just under their top 75%
Good luck!

I submitted my app as an undecided major. Thanks!

According to USC’s website SAT subject tests are preferred but not required if your high school is regionally accredited.

“We only require SAT Subject tests from first-year applicants who do not attend a regionally accredited high school (e.g., home school, some non-accredited parochial or community based programs, even some newer schools). These students must submit three SAT Subject exams, including one in mathematics. For all other applicants, these exams are optional, but recommended. We find them helpful in evaluating applications for merit scholarships.”

If the rest of your application is very very strong I don’t think it would destroy you but I personally wouldn’t submit those scores…Best of luck

But…when they say “recommended” I always think “not really optional”! So why not just submit ACT and not worry about the SAT IIs…
