I am planning on applying Early Decision next fall. I got a 2310 on my regular SAT's, which was the 99+ percentile, but on my subject tests AI received a 740 in literature and a 730 in Math I. It was a bit difficult subject test wise, considering that very few of my junior year classes corresponded to a subject test (AP Governemnt, AP Environmental Science, etc) I am planning on prepping for both of these tests again, taking them in october, as well as prepping for the act over the summer and taking it in september. I'm hoping to do well in the act with writing supplement, so that I don't need to submit these subject test scores. Any advice?

Yes, definitely submit those test scores. It’s your choice if you want to take them again, but I would be good with those schools.

Trinity or Pratt?

Those test scores are good! Anything in the 700’s is good.

730 in Math 1 is good, but not great if you are applying for Pratt. I honestly dont think they will even count Math I as an SAT score. Most, if not all, elite schools want to see scores for Math II.

@lagunal - Which elite schools specify Math II? I have seen much CC conjecture on this topic, but I have not yet come across a web site that indicates a preference for Math II over Math i.

I believe Pratt may have used to require Math IIc, at least, I seem to recall that the lower math wouldn’t suffice when I applied. But since then the requirement was probably revised along with the actual tests themselves (probably because the actual tests themselves were revamped).
