Okay, so on my Common App, some of the supplements let you provide supplementary materials. An important activity for me is my internship with the regional newspaper. Should I should submit a few of my articles as supplementary materials? I don't know whether they would look mediocre compared to some things that people submit and I don't want them to weaken my application. But if I do say so myself, the articles that I had published are pretty well-written.
(Oh, and I'm applying to Columbia, Yale, etc.)

Yes. A lot regional newspapers, frankly, suck. So it’s not a big deal to write for them. If you really do write well, I think you should submit the articles to show that you’re a cut above the rest.

I hate that cliche, but jsdfkljfiojij you know what I mean.

Thanks for the input.
Yeah, it’s not exactly the best newspaper ever or anything, but I really worked hard on some of those articles, so I’ll consider it.
