On my November SAT I got a 1370 (Reading: 700, Math: 670). On the December one I got a 1330 (Reading: 650, Math: 680). I’m wondering if I should send both scores so that my superscore is 1380 rather than 1370, or if having that 650 in reading will hurt me. I know schools say they won’t look at the lower sections of my superscore but they’re all gonna see it, and I don’t want it to detract from my application at all. Is the 10 point difference between 1370 and 1380 worth sending both scores?
Send both scores
If schools say they won’t look at the lower scores, why would they see it? Check with individual schools about their superscore policy and if they explicitly say they will disregard all lower scores, then don’t worry! I’d say send both, even if your superscore is only 10 points higher.
