Should I take 2 online college classes in high school?

Hi. I am currently a senior in my last semester of high school, and I am already accepted into the college I plan on attending. I was originally planning on having an easier senior year than in the past, so I only signed up for 2 AP’s(Literature and Government)+calculus, and a environmental science class. However, I am now considering taking an online economics class and an online psychology class in order to get some college credit hours this last semester. But, I have never taken an online class, and do you think that I will be overwhelmed by taking 2 online classes along with my current course load? Should I just take one instead? Thanks for any help anyone can give me in this decision!

My son is taking 2 Ap classes on line, one is govnt, one economics. He said they are SOOo easy. If you are on top of things, you will be fine. Usually, you get assignment and have 2 weeks to complete so if you are on top of things, should not be a problem.

How is it that you are only scheduled for three classes in your last semester? Does your school not require you to have a full day? I know some schools don’t. It was pretty common at Happykid’s high school for students to have only had four academic classes the last semester, but they still needed to fill out the equivalent of a full school day with on- or off-campus internship or independent project classes.

One or two online classes taken as part of a full school day could be workable. However you need specific information about the work demands of the classes you would be taking. Online classes vary quite a bit from one place to another, but all of them require much better time management and self-discipline than in-person classes do.
