I'm going to be a sophmore next year and
I'm having a hard time deciding whether I should take APUSH or just regular U.S. History
I heard a lot of bad things about the class and how it gives a lot of homework
Next Year I'm also planning to take
Honors LA10, Physics, AP Calc BC, AP Comp Sci, and either Chemistry or German 3
I really need to know if AP Us History is worth taking or not

Depends on ur major

If you like history and doing all the work that class gives, go for it. I personally don’t enjoy US History but I was an idiot and took the class anyway. It’s a lot of work, but if you work hard and do well on the AP exam, then chances are that’ll be the last time you have to take US History ever.

I took the class for the GPA boost and to stay competitive. Turns out that although the class is extremely demanding in terms of remembering all the information, I began to love it since it opened my culturally naive mind to the world.

I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE BY NOT TAKING IT. This is because of the teacher though. The teacher at my school is extremely passionate in what he does and I only hear positive things about it. Also, every test was a “blue book test” where you read the question, plan your thesis and such for 5 minutes and write for the rest of the period. This would’ve helped me a lot… but I didn’t take it.

TAKE IT. Sophomore year is the time to work hard loll

Take it. Hard work but very fun.

If you like history then ya take it. Otherwise it’ll be hard to keep up. There’s a lot of reading

I’m not going to take it since I’m already taking 4 APs next year and I seriously doubt I’ll do anything in history.
