Should I take a semester off?

I started my college journey very unsure about what I should major in. I went to community college in hopes that by the time I would graduate, I would have some sort I direction to lean towards.
Fast forward to now, I currently am about graduate from Hudson Valley Community College with an associate’s degree in liberal arts and a 3.8 GPA.
I started to pursue the major of dietetics and the idea to become a registered dietitian. I applied to my top school and got in with a dietetics major. However, I’m now starting to change my mind and become unsure if dietetics is really the path for me.
What brought me to college confidential is the dilemma I currently am having. I’m not sure if I should just go for dietetics uncertain or take a semester off to really think about it all.
I love school, I want to be in school and futher my education. It’s definitely not the kind of situation when people say " oh but if you take a break off, you’ll never go back"
It’s not like that at all, I want to go away to school more than anything, I’m ready now more than ever to really focus on my future. It’s just the fact that I’m still unsure about what I really want. I’m basically just asking for advice if it’s a bad idea to take a semester off and transfer in the spring instead of fall or not. I appreciate any answers.
