I am looking to apply to Stern, and I noticed that I can only submit 3 or more subject tests. This is what I have so far:

SAT reasoning: 2300
Math level 2: 800
Physics: 800

I could take math level 1 and get a high score (750-800), but it would be a hassle, and it would only benefit my application to Stern.

My question is, should I take this third test, or don't take it and just abandon sending my first two subject tests?

You misunderstood the requirements. You can apply to NYU with your SAT score and also send to them the 2 subject test scores (which are optional). OR… you also have the option of sending 3 subject tests instead of your SAT score. Clearly a 2300 is a strong score, so that option would not make sense. You do have the option of sending as many subject scores as you’d like along with the SAT score. That is up to you.

Thanks for clearing that up! I guess I don’t need to take another subject test then :)
