Should I take a third year of language!

Hi! I'm currently a sophomore in high school, and I was debating over whether to take a third year of Latin. Honestly, I would prefer to not take it, but if it will help me get into a better college, then I will be all in for it. I just want to know if it really helps or not. Thanks!

It depends on where you’re thinking of applying. The most selective colleges like to see 4 years of a foreign language. Selective colleges like to see 3 years of a foreign language or in some cases 2 years each of 2 different foreign languages. So if you want to keep your options open, it’s a good idea to continue it.

OK thanks. I will already be taking 5 AP classes next year so I was taking something easy as well. I guess I should drop it for Latin because even though i don’t really like it, it will be worth it in the end.
