Should I Take an Online Math Course?

Hello all,

This coming fall I will be a sophomore in college living on campus. I’m a microbiology major and will have a full schedule in addition to having a job and practicing in the marching band. Because of this, I am debating on whether to take precalculus online. I’ve never taken an online class and I’m assuming it would (hopefully) take some stress off of my schedule. For those of you who have taken math online, how difficult was it compared to class in person? Would online precalculus be more time consuming?
I am not a genius in math, but so far I’ve made A’s in my algebra class, chemistry class, and biochemistry class.

Thank you!

I would go to an in person class…it is too easy to get behind in the online class.

I would definitely recommend you take it in person, especially if you are horrible at math like myself. It’s just a better experience going in person and actually learning the material that way. However, if you are a whiz at math, an online course would be a breeze for you and could potentially save you some time to focus on your other classes. Best of luck!
