BIO – 670
CHEM – 740
MATH I – 750
MATH II – 800

I just took a US History diagnostic and got a 630 which I think is pretty good considering I'm in APUSH and haven't gone through half of the material yet.

What is your intended major? What are your target schools?
For most schools, your Math2 + Chem scores are good enough. You should not have taken Math1, it is totally a waste of time and money even if you get the same high score as Math2. They are counted as 1 subject.
Back to the question, only for certain schools or programs than may want to see a social science or another science score. In most cases, you are all set unless you want to get a higher score.

Georgetown strongly recommend 3 SAT2. You have enough subject test scores unless you can get a higher score in something else to replace your Bio score.

By the time you’re done with APUSH, I think you will be ready to take the SAT subject test. Unlike others, I think you should take US history instead of bio. You know why? It makes you much more well-rounded in your academics. If you take US history, you will have a social studies, as well as a science(chem) and math lvl 2. You will be set for any college tbh, even the big names who require 3 subject tests. Get the barron’s for U.S. to supplement your APUSH, and you will get above 750 for sure. Most of my friends who took APUSH were more than ready for the SAT subject test, but if you want to guarantee your high score, just review out of Barron’s. Best of luck

I don’t mean to hijack the thread, but since his situation has been resolved and my situation is similar, I thought I’d ask my own question in this thread instead of starting a new one.

I’m a junior looking into pursuing a dual degree in engineering and business in college. I received an 800 on Math II and 780 on Physics. Would you suggest taking a humanities subject test as well? My counselor told me that was unnecessary but I’d love to hear some more opinions. Thank you in advance!

@sirswish7, unless you are applying to a school (like Georgetown) that recquires 3 subject tests, then don’t take another one. Your scores are fantastic for any school, even if they’re focused on math.

A lot of business is math anyway, so you’re fine.

@satman1111: Okay, I’ll drop the humanities one. I’m thinking I might take Chemistry for the fun of it to try to get the double 800 that I wanted so badly with Physics. Thanks so much for the advice! I really didn’t want to have to take Literature or something along that vein.
