Update:
• If I took the class, I believe I’d do well because I’m not completely bad at art.
• My school is very lenient when it comes to AP courses. The counselors will sometimes let you take them even without the prerequisite. I know people who took AP Art without taking art any years before in high school.
• AP Art would not replace anything in my schedule. I have the option of putting it in so I’m wondering if I should do so.
• I don’t plan on taking any other art in high school, only AP Art. I understand that I should be more devoted towards it but I’m not passionate enough about it.
• I don’t plan on going to art school. I’m simply wondering if the course would do anything for me.
I’m sorry if I come off as if I do everything for the college admissions. My school ranks really low and doesn’t offer much in terms of curriculum so I’m trying to take advantage of what we have. I don’t know much so that’s why I started this thread.
