should i take ap calc bc if i did ap calc ab last year?

my senior year is about to start soon so im trying to finalize my schedule because guidance messed some stuff up. anyways, last year (junior year) i took calc ab and got a 5 on the test. is it worth it to take calc bc if i already did ab? or should i just take some other math class like ap prob and stat?

Yes

Yes. BC is either an extension (Calc 1 and 2) or a continuation (Calc 2) of AB (which is Calc 1), depending on how your school teaches it. You can take AP Stat if you want but that’s mostly for people who a) took BC the previous year and have exhausted all their math class options b) people going straight from honors or regular PreCalc (and/or Trig) or c) people who aren’t good at math. Dropping from AB Calc to Stat when you have BC and are a capable student will seem odd to say the least.

Yes - BC covers more topics such as integration by parts, improper integrals, polar coordinates, and sequences/series and determining if a series is convergent using several different methods.

Another reason is that some colleges only give credit for BC (E.g. MIT gives 18.01 credit for a 5 on BC). Others might give credit for the equivalent of Calculus 2.

Yes take BC

It really depends on what you plan to study in college. If you are going to study a STEM field take BC, if you plan on going into business (Not economics) take the AP Stat, it will help you more in your future business classes and you will never need Calc 2. imho
