Okay, so, my high school offers AP Calculus AB, but not BC. I have taken Pre-Calculus and I want to do my best. I've heard that Calc. AB is equivalent to 1 semester of college calculus, and Calc. BC is equal to 2 semesters. Is that true? If it is, then should I still take Calculus AB or should I just wait for college? I want to major in Biochemistry to get into medical school, and it is something that I know that I have to take.

Anyone?

If you take AP Calculus AB you can usually start in Calculus 2 instead of starting in Calculus 1, as long as you do well on the AP exam.

The class is known by adcoms to be one of the most challenging math classes and will looks great on an app. Plus, the knowledge will help you when you take math classes in college, even if you end up scoring poorly on the exam and can’t opt out of Calc 1.

Thanks! I’ll probably take it then.
