Should I take AP Calculus?

No, with your current grades, you wouldn’t stay afloat in BC. Do they offer “regular” (non AP) calculus? If not, what math class will you take?

Looks like you’ll be getting full speed (or even faster at WPI with 7-week terms) calculus either in high school (if BC is the only option) or college (only a few colleges offer a slower paced (AB-like) calculus, although more offer a less rigorous calculus for business majors that is generally not allowed for computer science majors).

You may want to try these placement tests to see which areas of precalculus math you need to review:

Ok thanks guys for your advice, I appreciate it, I talked to my guidance counselor and I am just going to go all for it and take AP Calculus BC.

Update: Ended up taking the BC Calculus class and got a solid B in it and passed the BC Exam. It was hard, but studying and putting effort into things really does pay off. So to anyone with doubts about taking this class, just take it IF you are willing to put in the effort. If you put about an hour each day into this class, that should be enough for at least a B.
