Should I take AP Chem or AP Bio next year?

I'm currently a sophomore and I'm in honors chem this year. The semester had just ended and my grade in the class was a low A (91. something percent) the final was pretty hard so it brought me down a little. I even cried during the final because of how awfully hell it was.

All I know is from what people tell me, it looks better to colleges if you take AP Chem. So for example if they were deciding to choose between two people and saw one took AP Chem while the other AP Bio they would favor the one who took AP Chem more.

My mom is encouraging me to take AP Bio, she is not gonna accept chem. I know bio would be so much reading and a lot of work, but it does take away the stress from all the math and chemical reaction stuff, right?
I also don't know what I want to be when I'm older, I just know I'm going to be studying somewhere in the science field and most likely major in bio

& also for my senior year, should I take AP environmental or AP physics? Would colleges really laugh if they see those take AP environmental?

Don’t believe the crap people tell you. Take what you want from experience I can tell you AP Chem is ALOT of fun. right not i’m taking AP Bio and let me tell you that is nothing to sleep on [-X or it may be just my teacher. AP Enviro I wouldn’t take unless you wanted the extra boost in gpa.

From what I’ve heard AP Bio is easier than Chem but it requires a lot of memorization. However, taking Chem would look better than taking Bio in my opinion.

Also from what I’ve heard AP Environmental is a joke. If you want to look better as a student, I advise that you take AP Physics.

Atleast at my school, AP chem is the hardest class in the science APs so if you’re looking for a challenge, then go for that. However, AP bio isn’t any walk in the park either from what I’ve heard. I think it also depends on the teacher, do you like the teachers who teach each class? Are they good teachers?

If both are good teachers and you like them, I’d just take AP Chemistry. Why don’t you take AP Bio senior year?

For senior, I’d just take AP Physics. Colleges won’t laugh, per se, but it’d still look a lot better if you just went with Physics. As for Enviro, if you really want to take the test, then take AP Bio, cram a few hours with either Smartypants or some other online guide, and you’re good.

And I don’t really know if colleges favor AP Chem over AP Bio… I’m pretty sure Bio’s harder at our school, and for the most part I think how entertaining or challenging the class is depends mostly on the teacher & your personal preferences.
