I'm a sophomore in high school who has already taken Economics (a junior-only course at my school) and scored very high in the class. My principal was impressed by with my teacher and the good grades the students experienced she told her to teach an AP Econ course. The course is going to start in the upcoming school year and will be offered to juniors and seniors which means all these students in my grade who have not taken Econ, will be taking an AP version of it which means I took the normal Economics class pointlessly if I can take a AP version of it. I'm already planning on taking AP Calc, AP Chem and Physiology next year along with my other required courses. If I take AP Econ, I will not have the ability to take Physiology but I will be given the ability to take three AP courses. What I'm asking is, should I take AP Econ? I plan on going into the medical field following high school and want to go to U of M. Physiology will benefit me in my career and I am interested in the class but AP Econ is an AP class so I will be missing an opportunity to take an AP class and score an AP credit. Will U of M care if I take AP Econ? I also plan on taking AP Psych, AP Bio, AP Lit and Calc 2 as a senior.

Also, for those who have taken the class, how is AP Econ? Is it difficult?
