Should I take AP European History?

Here is my projected schedule for sophomore year:
Honors English 2
Track & Field (On JV right now)
Algebra 2/Trig
Spanish 3
AP Chemistry
World History OR AP Euro
Concert Choir (Mid level)

I would have concert choir 0 period, and track would last from sixth period to about 4:30 on average.

I am also currently treasurer for Key Club and am planning on running for a district position sophomore year. On top of that, I practice karate at an international competition level and will be teaching classes over the summer.
Now my question is, If I do not plan to major in history in college, should I bother taking AP euro? Or should I just take world history? Would my schedule be too busy if I do? Thanks!

yes, yes, yes. I loved AP Euro, and it provided the perfect segway into APUSH. oh, and it was easy. I’m a history person too.

I would say go for it, though it depends on whether you’re a history person or not. If you don’t love history (or feel you don’t have the time for it- and only you can really figure this one out), it might not be worth taking the AP class. That said, Euro is one of my favorite classes this year so I’d definitely recommend it :)

Colleges want you to have tons of AP classes, whether you like them or not. If you want to compete with the other applicants who have taken 5 APs at the very minimum, you should strongly consider taking AP Euro.

So? How was it? ^_^
