Should I take AP exams as a senior?

I took two AP classes last year and received a 4 and a 5. I really don't feel like adding the unnecessary stress of studying for the AP exams again as a second semester senior. On the other hand, I am taking 3 AP classes this year. I won't personally feel cheated if I have the AP credits but don't bother to take the exams. Do they even count for anything?

What do you think?

Only take the ones that your college accepts.

They can count for placement or credits, but it varies widely depending on the school.

Go ahead and take them. You may get some credit at college or more flexility with you schedule.

The AP tests may give you college credit, or allow you to skip the introductory college course in the subject and allow you to go into a more advanced course (effectively giving you extra elective space in your college schedule). It does depend on the college, though.
