Which one is easier to learn and take? Both of the teachers are easy teachers. Which one is easier to get a 5 on the AP test with and is the least time consuming. I'm taking AP Calc and AP Chem next year for junior year and also self-studying APHUG. U of M is my goal. I'm planning on taking AP Bio, AP Psych, and AP Lit as a senior. Should I even take a fourth AP class next year? I really do not want to take AP Econ or Gov but my extra curriculars are super low because no one in my family can drive until I get my license in January of junior year [LONNNNNNNNNNNNG STORY] so I need to strengthen my application with AP courses. I've taken APUSH as a freshman but did not take the AP test because I was not mentally prepared and am taking AP World right now but am likely to get a 2 on the AP test. Thanks guys!

I found AP Gov to be very doable, although it depends on who you have for a teacher. My teacher was particularly difficult, but I ended up doing well on the exam. I didn’t take AP Econ. Do you know what you want to study in college potentially? If you want to study business or econ, then taking Econ would benefit you. Likewise, if you want to study history, literature, political science, or law, then AP Gov would help more. If you don’t want to do either of those in college, then just do whichever one you think you’d be more interested in and more likely to succeed in. Also ask your friends who have taken them and see what they think of the classes.

While taking AP classes is important and looks good, taking four in one year can be quite a load. Eight AP classes should be enough as long as you do well. I took five and made it fairly easily into UMich.

P.S. Don’t worry about your performance on AP World too much. AP exam scores are not taken into consideration for admission to UMich. Most colleges don’t look at them. They’re mainly only used for college credits and class placement.

Before you are taking all these AP classes, do pay attention to your GPA first. It is very critical to keep a very good GPA for UMich. Don’t be overwhelmed with AP classes and suffered in GPA.
