Im planning my junior year schedule and my definite classes so far are:
AP English
APUSH
AP Bio
AP Calc BC
Spanish 4 (No honors offered)
Leadership Honors (required half year elective)
????? (One more half year elective)

I don't know what to take as my electives. I have to fill 5 art credits, but I was thinking I complete take that senior year by taking AP Art History.

What I really want to take is AP Macroeconomics but I'm really nervous/scared/worried about taking 5 APs and would feel more comfortable taking 4. I think I'd be able to handle 5, but everyone else is making me think differently.

Anyway, in your opinion, what should I do? Take AP Macro or some easy elective? Also, has anyone taken AP Macro and, if so, how hard is it?
(by the way, I'm planning on going to college for business).

Make the decision based on what you’re more comfortable with? If you don’t think you can handle 5 APs, then don’t try. No one on this board or any board can tell you what your limits are.

I mainly just want to know how hard the material is to understand. I’ve heard that its hard from one of my senior friends, but this is the first time he’s ever taken a class that wasn’t regular (not even honors).

I’ve actually heard that macro isn’t too bad. It’s apparently very conceptual. I’m actually planning to take it next year too! Though was told that it’s easier to take micro before macro, so you might want to consider that.

Don’t feel too worried about taking 5 APs. I was really nervous for junior year because I went from 2 APs to 6 APs, but it’s not all that bad. It really depends on your work ethic and what you think you’re capable of. If you think you can take 5 APs, go for it! A lot of people thought I was crazy for taking the classes I’m taking this year, but I’m doing just fine. :)

Ok, and AP Micro isn’t offered in my school. Just Macro

AP Macro really isn’t too hard. There’s a bit of a learning curve just to get used to the concepts, but it’s really not too bad. Both the AP Econs are just basic economic theory, so it’s pretty easy to master.

for what it’s worth, i picked up the princeton review book for ap micro/macro at the library and im using that alone to study for both tests. i’ve heard they’re almost laughably easy.
