Should I take AP Microeconomics/government?

My school combines the two AP classes into one, which makes me think that because they are able to do that, it must be easier than other AP classes? However, I hear some seniors complaining about that class.

To be honest, I don’t think I’ll do well because I don’t even know the basics of gov or econ. If I take this class, it would only be because of greed of getting 2 credits and because of peer pressure.

My original plan is to take gov and econ through dual enrollment.

AP classes I’ve taken (I’m a junior) :

Stat (hard because of conceptual stuff)
world history (easy)
chem (hard)
physics 1 (extremely hard because of conceptual stuff and more)
us history (hard)
human geo (hard)
lang (medium)

So, I guess my question is:

Is it okay to not take AP gov/econ my senior year?

If you’ve taken it, did you struggle? Do you predict that you would struggle? How hard is it compared to other APs?

I can’t really speak for how hard AP Gov/Econ is because I am only a sophomore, and I have not taken those classes. However, AP Micro is equivalent to a semester of microeconomics in college, and AP US Gov is equivalent to a semester of American government in college, which is why they may combine two into one.

At my school, they combine AP Micro and Macro Econ into one, and offer AP US Gov as a full year course or a course where AP US is one semester, and AP Comp Gov is the second semester.

Have a good day!
