I’m an incoming sophomore. I’ve been very hesitant about taking this course since the course registration in May. I’ve wanted to take the class for the longest time (since the beginning of freshman year), but once I talked with my counselor during the course registration about the class, I’ve hesitated to the point where I just want to drop out. Sometimes I really want to take it, but other times I don’t. I’m not afraid of the amount of work, I have straight A’s. It’s just that I don’t know if I’m going to like the course or if it’s going to be a boring class. I’m also not extremely passionate about history although it doesn’t bother me, so I could get by just fine. But if it’s not interesting, then I don’t know what to do.
You’ll love it! I’m not a history person and it was such an awesome class. I struggled in keeping my A a little bit but it was possible. And also, the content never leaves your head-- literally. It gives so much information but in a fun way. My teacher was so mean, but besides that, I loved the class!
And since you do want to take it, I’m sure you’ll love it too. There is a lot of work involved – lots of notes. But it’s def NOT boring
