Hey. So im going to be a senior in the fall (GO CLASS 2014) and I utterly failed my first and only AP exam. I got a 2 for APUSH and got a C in the class. I have taken other honor courses at my school and got As in them. What am I doing wrong?? I studied like 100 hrs (not kidding) for the APUSH exam. I feel like i should not persue another AP class or exam fearing that i may fail once more. I dont know what to do. My only other chance to take another AP exam is for german and thats going to be a real challenge since its an independent study. I fear taking an AP class will just lower my GPA and not get into the colleges i want. :(

Ya true, but the teacher who teaches AP psych makes the class just as hard as APUSH. He makes you read the textbook and does random quizzes like 4 times a week practiacally.

On the other hand though, I already took regular psych so it could be a really easy class since i know all the vocab already.

Actually, AP curriculua were developed during cold war to compete against USSR, so they are quite outdated. I would retake US History course in your community college.

Thanks for your guys advice and i think i will try to take as many US history related courses for college to satisify my GE requirements of whatver college i decide to go to.

Psych is really easy if you enjoy the material. The concepts are straightforward and the essays aren’t really essays, I got a 4 with no prep beyond what I learned in my DE class (which had a slightly different curriculum).
