Should I take both SAT and ACT ??

For about a month studying diligently for the SAT, I don't see any improvement in my CR. About Math and Writing I think I may get 700 each section, but only about 550 in CR.
So today I was thinking about trying to take ACT. Can anyone tell me the distinction between the 2 tests? What science is tested in ACT ?? I'm good at Science but I don't think I should spend time on both tests and I don't succeed on any of them

If you're strong in math, science, and writing, then it might be a good idea to take the ACT. Even if you get a weaker reading score, your composite could still be really good. The science section on the ACT is all branches of science but according to the Real ACT book "you don't have to have any prior scientific knowledge" (but it would help) because it's all interpreting graphs, charts, and reading scientific studies.

alright let me try ACT.
what are the best books to review for the ACT ???
I'm in MA, so I cannot take the ACT in Sep :(

Yeah, ACT would probably be a better bet. It's not as f'ed up as the SAT. The best ACT books seem to be the official one and Princeton Review.
