I got a 35 on the ACT plus writing. Should I take the SAT or would that hurt my chances? None of the schools I'm applying to require both.

You don’t need to take SAT when you get a 35 in ACT with writing. It is equivalent to ~2340 in SAT. Unless you are aiming at Presidential Scholarship or something like that. For admission purpose, you are pretty much done. Some schools may still want SAT2 though. On the other hand, if you think you can do better than that in SAT or ACT, you may give it a try for getting better merit scholarships.

If you’re in the running for NMF you’ll need to take the SAT to “ratify” your PSAT score. Otherwise I think you’re done.

^ Definitely. I forgot about that.
