Hi. I'm transferring to UT next fall and it seems every single major that I'm interested in has a Calculus requirement unfortunately. I'm not the best at math, but I'm not terrible either. I believe I'm a little bit above average. Anyways, I plan on taking 15-16 hours next semester, having a job (if I could get one), and get my business up and running. I wanted to attempt to transfer to McCombs, but I heard that Calc is a GPA killer... Is it really THAT bad? Or if I devote a lot of my time to Calculus, I could pull out with a high B or an A? Would it be too much of a hassle to take it at ACC?

P.S. I might actually go to 12-13 hours first semester if I take Calculus. Transfers don't get good picks of professors and having a bad professor won't making things any easier. If I take it at ACC, I'll be back up to 15-16 hours because I'll take 12 hours at UT and the rest at ACC for Calc.

What do you guys suggest for me to do!!!

408K is pretty easy (which is what you would take if you want to be a business major). 408L is much harder, and is generally a GPA killer for people. If you consistently put in the work (including the extra work, not just the HW), then you can manage a B or an A. Otherwise, you’d be best served taking it at a community college.

I hear 408C is average in difficulty. 408D on the other hand is supposed to be pretty tough.

Bump. I wanna know how should I go about doing this if I wanna attempt transferring into McCombs. I’m decent at Math. Not the best. But not the worst either. I was thinking about taking Calculus 2 at ACC Spring Semester. Will it be too much work to go to two different colleges in one semester?

Can I make an A in Calculus 2 at UT without selling my soul?

Hi Guys I have the same question!
I do not pretend to transfer, but maybe add a secon major,
in which community college would you recommend me to take M408L at fall?
because it not offered at UT during the fall and I really want to do ASAP
I think I can try to transfer a course that I took that not have the "Calculus"name
but have the same sylabus of Calc 1.
I am an international so I do not understand how ACC works,I can try to register in just one course?

Thank you!
