Should I take AP Calculus AB my junior year, then take BC my senior year? or should I just take BC my junior year? Thanx.

If you are good at math, just take BC. the difference is just in a few topics (parametric and polar functions, Series, logistic growth, and Euler’s method)

ignore this.

taking BC is a lot more advantageous, mostly because you can test out of an ENTIRE year of college calc rather than just a semester. furthermore, there isn’t much difference between the two aps. BC is just a lot of AB + some common sense and application. not only will you save a ton of $$, you’ll be that much smarter.

if you LIKE math, go for it.

If you feel you can handle it, go for BC. BC is basically AB plus a few other topics, such as taylor series and stuff like that. I take it that you are in precalc right now? Generally if you make A’s or high B’s in precalc then go for BC.

BC. :]
Its barely anything more than AB, just some more series and stuff.

Let’s just say this year’s BC exam had very little BC topics…

Yea, for example AB and BC shared 2 of the FRQ’s. Although number 6 on BC was definitely a BC-only topic.

They shared 3 questions.

BC = AB

I took AB, which was a mistake… there is hardly a difference
do itm take BC

A lot of seniors at my school take one of them and self-study the other at the same time because they’re closely related.
