Should I take CC classes this summer?

I am currently a high school junior and I was considering taking Pre-Calculus and/or Physics at a community college this summer. I am currently in Chemistry and a modified version of Alg2/Trig. Would these classes count towards high school credit and would I be able to go into Calc/AP Bio (in my school you must complete bio/chem/physics with an 85 before going into AP Bio) in the fall? Thanks so much!

Sounds like something you should take up with a guidance counselor.

Locally, you take math during the summer at a private hs that your school will accept credit from.
These classes cover the whole year of math so are 3 hours a day, Mon-Fri.
If you miss 2 classes you forfeit the tuition and are dropped.
You take a placement test right before school begins, pass and they allow you to move up.

Registration for the summer classes at a private hs typically begins in March for those not currently students.
Talk to your gc about what to do.

im a junior taking college pre calc and physics now . take them both over the summer because i think physics and pre calc go hand in hand. ( at least at my school you need to be taking or have taken physics to take precalc ). and we have the same requirements for the AP sciences too . deff take the summer course (:

Now really talk to your counselor, I had a similar plan of taking college calculus at a local CC during summer. It turns out that the school will not give me credit because it does not line up with the school curriculum. It would be a great thing to do even if you don’t get credit.
