I'm in junior and I have taken chem last year, getting 770.
I am currently taking AP CHEM, and I wonder if I should take chem again to get 800?
Or should I only take Physics? (currently in AP PHYS as well...)
I have 800 for Math 2C and Korean, and my goal school is Stanford..
Is 770 enough?

770 is amazing. 750+ is already excellent. Remember that the college application process to such a great school as Stanford is judging you on being well rounded, and that this one test score that is not an 800 will not be cause of rejection.

To make yourself more seem well-rounded, consider taking the SAT Subject Test in another discipline (US History, Literature, World History, etc) as well as the Physics SAT Subject Test.

770 is good enough for stanford.

Hey, I retook a 790. I say go for it.

no. don’t do it. it means nothing for admissions. donate the $ instead.

^^Well I wouldn’t say it means nothing but it only means a really small piece of the puzzle. It’s fair to generalize that your transcript, ECs, recs, and essay will make up far more and be worth more then this one test score.

770 is a good score and just as what hardworking21 said, your app isn’t solely dependent on this 770 you got in the chemistry subject test.

Anyway, just because you got 800s on your other tests, it doesn’t mean that you have to get 800 on this one too.

You could spend the time planning for the rest of your app, you know.
