Should I take CSE 91 or ENG 1 during my fall 2012 quarter at UCSD?

<p>I am an incoming freshman majoring in computer engineering and I am stuck choosing between these two classes. CSE 91 is two units and required for my major, but seems easy enough to place in other quarters, while ENG 1 (engineering 1) is a one unit optional class which seems to be rather interesting and beneficial to engineering majors. </p>

<p>However, I cannot sign up for both as I will exceed the maximum number of units for incoming freshman (19.5). If I choose ENG 1, it will give me a more convenient schedule (I will be commuting). I would appreciate info from people who have taken or know a lot about ENG 1 to know whether it's worth it to drop CSE 91 and replace it with ENG 1</p>

<p>There are three discussion sections for Eng 1. If your section is not full, you can wait until school starts coz by then the limit is 22 units.</p>

<p>When can I add more units? over 19
First day when we move in (9/24) or first day of class (9/27)
Now I have 18 units and I want to add 3 more waiting units.</p>
