I took three years of Spanish in high school, and I know some top colleges that I am applying to have foreign language requirements, so should I take Spanish in college? I already have 16 credits, I am worried about potential free time since most of my classes meet at roughly the same time throughout the week, if I add this class, for half of my week- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday- I will not have time for lunch. Suggestions?

I used to skip lunch until 3pm… so it depends on you. My suggestion is to master spanish(which I presume you already have) or master another language such as chinese or whatever. We live in a global economy and lots of companies are looking for fluent speakers of spanish(especially in california)/chinese(ibanks etc).

I wouldn’t discount the power of a second or third language. In california, there’s a huge hispanic and vietnamese populations that are in dire need of professionals; lawyers, doctors, etc etc. Its always beneficial to be able to hedge a variety of markets and maximize revenues.
