I am going to be 3rd year usc student and just realized that starting soon my loans would be piling up. I'll probably graduate with about 30-50k (maybe more) in loans. My question is do you think the loans are worth it to stick to USC or should I go to a school like rutgers where i can get a full scholarship and finish almost loan free. Any input would be great, thanks

nothing is greater than free ride.
I would choose Rutgers if I were you.

^ and Rutgers is also a great school, I think I would go with Rutgers

the reason im reluctant is because I already finished 2 years at usc (i do have many extra credits though) but not sure how well they would transfer over. and I would most likely have to defer this semester then and just apply as spring admit transfer because if I do decide to do rutgers then it would be waste paying another semester at usc while waiting for admissions

I like USC better...because USC rocks.

It depends on what you plan on doing for a living. If you plan on being an engineer or getting MBA, that debt's not so bad. If you plan on becoming something like a teacher or getting a Ph.D before you're 30, then I say go to Rutgers.

Depends on major. If you want to work in the entertainment industry - stick with USC. For virtually anything else, Rutgers might be the best choice.

uhhhhHHHHhh...

I'd say Rutgers too. USC is better, but I'm not sure it's 50,000 dollars better.

I think both schools have great reputations, so I'd say rutgers, bc you'll have $50,000 more when you graduate.
