Should I take hard classes senior year?

I have five APs on my schedule right now and am thinking about taking a sixth… Should I do it or just get a study hall or teachers assistant hour? Is it worth it to take rigorous classes senior year?

Yes, it is worth taking rigorous classes senior year. If you are planning on applying to selective universities, they will still want to see you are continuing to challenge yourself. However, that does not mean you need to take the most ridiculously challenging schedule. 5 AP’s is enough, in my opinion. If you think you can handle it and are willing to take on the extra workload, then do 6 APs. I don’t think one less AP class will deter your admissions chances anywhere, though.

You should always take the most challenging schedule that will allow you to perform well. The difference between 5 and 6 AP’s is nil IMO, but it is your GC that checks the “most demanding schedule” box on the Secondary School Report; ask him/her.
