Hey guys, I currently hold a 2200 on the SAT taken back in junior year, January 2011 (700 CR, 760 Math, 760 Writing, 10 essay). This is the only time I've ever taken the test. My question for you all is whether I need to take the test again as a Senior in November. Stanford has always been my dream school and I would love to go there, but is my first score high enough to keep a reasonable chance of getting in? I have heard that people who take the test just once will get extra "brownie points" from admissions officers during the process. If I take the test again I am certain that my math will go up to an 800 and that my critical reading number will rise too. I'm pretty sure my Writing score will be where it is at. It would be great if I could have some advice, thanks guys!

It looks like the admit rate goes up if you have perfect scores in a section.

If you are sure you can raise that SAT score, what is there to really think about? Surely, a 2300+ will look better than a 2200.
